Embassy issues warning to Azerbaijani citizens regarding massive disturbances in USA

Azerbaijan’s embassy has issued warning to citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic in the USA, APA reports.

The warning has been issued to citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic regarding the events going on in a number of cities of the USA.

“In connection with the events going on in a number of cities of the USA, we insistently recommend that taking into consideration the threats and risks posed to personal health and security on the territories where the protests and massive disturbances are taking place, the citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic being currently in the USA should refrain from going to those places, and if the travels have been envisaged to the territories where the disturbances are taking place, then they should consider the possibility of cancellation of such travels and should comply with the rules determined by relevant local authority and law enforcement agencies on the territories of their residence including curfew if applied. If any incident occurs in regard to citizens of our country, they are requested to provide relevant information to the embassy’s hotline service. The number of the hotline phone service is 202 560 35 83”, is noted in the warning.

Remind that at least 11 people have died and hundreds of people have been wounded in the massive protest actions held against the death of the Afro-American George Floyd as a result of police violence in the USA.
