Meeting of Georgian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Economic Commission to be held

The meeting of Georgian-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Economic Commission is planned to be continued the next year again, Prime minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia said at the meeting with Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

The sides discussed the strategical partnership and friendly neighborly relations of two countries.

During the meeting, the parties have discussed the process of delimitation and demarcation of the state border between Georgia and Azerbaijan. It was noted that the process should be developed in the context of the strategic partnership, protecting the interests of both countries, taking into account friendly relations.

During the meeting, the importance of increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the transport corridor, as well as the necessity to continue joint efforts to use the transit potential of the two countries were emphasized.

It was stated that TANAP is one of the most important components of the Southern Gas Corridor

Giorgi Gakharia expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
