12th meeting of the tripartite Working Group was held in Moscow

The 12th meeting of the tripartite working group was held in Moscow on June 2 in order to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, and the Russian Federation at the meeting held in Moscow on May 25, 2023, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

The meeting was held in the Russian capital under the joint chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigoryan, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia said in a press release that the meeting took place under constructive conditions.

In particular, a general understanding was reached regarding the implementation of concrete steps for the restoration and organization of the railway connection on the Arazdeyan-Julfa-Mehri-Horadiz route.

"An important progress in the coordination of the modality of the opening of transport relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia was noted with satisfaction.

The leaders of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, and the Russian Federation will be informed about the results of the negotiations.

The parties agreed to continue the work within the tripartite Working Group," Overchuk said in his statement.
