Assistant to the First Vice President Elchin Amirbayov visits Mexico

Elchin Amirbayov, the assistant to the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the United Mexican States, APA reports citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico.

Elchin Amirbeyov met the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico for Political Affairs, Mrs. Carmen Moreno Toscano, the Chairman of the Mexican Senate, Alejandro Armenta Mier, the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel Miranda, as well as members of the Mexican-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group operating in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, members of the country's leading think tanks and representatives of the influential mass media and gave numerous interviews.

During the meetings, Elchin Amirbeyov informed that our country restored its territorial integrity by liberating its territories, which were under the occupation of Armenia for nearly 30 years, in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council, in 2020 as a result of the 44-day-long Patriotic War, the new situation emerging in the region after the resolution of the conflict, the major construction and restoration works are carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, "smart cities" and "smart villages" built there, airports constructed in a short period, and infrastructure and transport projects.
