"In the issue of crossing the state borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it is necessary to take into account Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union," the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, the co-chairman of the Trilateral Working Group on the opening of economic and transport relations in the South Caucasus, Alexey Overchuk from Russia, said in an interview with "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", According to APA's Moscow correspondent.

According to him, all agreements are made with this factor in mind.

Overchuk noted that the opening of transport links is unequivocally positive for all parties:

"Citizens of Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to travel to Nakhchivan and back by passing through the territory of Armenia. And Armenia will finally have the opportunity to freely move its citizens, vehicles and cargo from the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Russia, Iran, Central Asia and back."

According to Overchuk, this mutual action will allow the development of trade and humanitarian relations and, finally, to start healing long-term wounds in the South Caucasus region.
"We are working for this to happen," added the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
