On November 28, 2022, a meeting was held between Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Michael Siebert, Executive Director of the European Union (EU) External Action Service for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, regional cooperation and OSCE, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the various aspects of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, prospects of cooperation achieved with the EU in the fields of energy security, communications, and transport, as well as the processes in the region.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed M. Siebert in detail about Azerbaijan's efforts on the peace agenda, Armenia's attempts to impede the process, and the flagrant violation of its obligations within the tripartite statements. It was also brought to our attention that the Armenian armed formations have not yet been completely withdrawn from Azerbaijan's territories, they are using the Lachin road for military purposes. The minister also spoke about the landmine problem.
The sides discussed other issues of mutual interest.
