Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of Pakistan: Heydar Aliyev's legacy has inspired people to embark on the path of development

“Heydar Aliyev was a personality who ensured Azerbaijan’s development and welfare. He led the country in difficult times,” said Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of Pakistan Zahid Akram Durrani at the special meeting of the Milli Majlis dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.

According to him, Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for development in Soviet Azerbaijan in 1969 when he came to the leadership: “Heydar Aliyev is a founder of independent Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a developing country. We believe that Pakistan and Azerbaijan can achieve welfare by jointly working. There are great opportunities for cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, energy, and tourism. Heydar Aliyev's legacy has inspired people to embark on the path of development.”
