German ambassador: "We plan to suspend oil import from Russia soon"

"Germany is reacting to the war in Ukraine at the level of NATO and the EU, working with partners in a coordinated manner in taking measures against Russia," said German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig at the lecture organized for the AUL students on peace and security, APA reports.

He noted that the use of power and aggression against the territory and sovereignty of another country is unacceptable.

Wolfgang Manig noted that Europe acts attentively in its reaction to the war in the region: "If Europe uses the power, an approach "we may also use power, make war because Europe does" may be formed at a global level also in the other countries".

German diplomat said that both EU countries and Germany impose sanctions against Russia, gives financial aid and self-defense means to Ukraine: "We, as Germany, plan to suspend oil import from Russia soon. We are making decisions attentively on this issue".
