Macron statement about the five-lateral meeting does not reflect the position of the parties - Azerbaijani MFA

"As it is known, the statement to the press regarding the finals of the meeting held between the Azerbaijani President and Armenian PM, with the attendance of EU Council President Charles Michel, French President, and German Chancellor was issued by Charles Michel as the organizer of the Brussels format, according to tradition," Press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizade, said in response to the question of the local press about the statement issued by the French President on the results of the Chisinau meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, APA reports.

“Then, the statement issued unilaterally by the French President about the meeting does not reflect the position of the parties and distorts it. It is regrettable that demonstrating such action by France is not a first case, and this does not positively contribute to the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and stability and peace in the region,” he noted.
