"Construction of road from Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic passing through Iran is on the agenda," a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament Feda Huseyn Maliki told APA's Tehran bureau.
He noted that technical mechanisms for the construction of highways must be prepared.
"Azerbaijan has a strategic position and discussions have been conducted between the delegations of both countries for Iran to connect Europe through this country. This issue needs to be accelerated".
Feda Huseyn Maliki noted that Iranian and Azerbaijani relations have historical roots.
"Good relations existing between nations of both countries must be further developed".
