Youth Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement to be established

"One of the two main initiatives put forward by President Ilham Aliyev during his presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement of Azerbaijan was the establishment of the Movement's Youth Network," Ordukhan Kahramanzade, the current chairman of the Youth Network of the Non-Aligned Movement.

He said that the first summit of the Youth Network established in October 2021 is being held in Baku today.

"Young representatives of more than 60 countries attending the summit, which will last for 5 days. We will hold a simulation meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Azerbaijan for the first time on the sidelines of the summit, and many topics will be discussed within the framework of the event. The event has great importance, thus, for the first time, this summit will include steps and decisions to transform the Youth Network of the Non-Aligned Movement into a Youth Organization."

He said that the participants would visit Shusha on the last day of the summit and make decisions discussed during the summit there: "We hope that in Shusha, we will decide to turn the Youth Network of the Non-Aligned Movement into a Youth Organization. And we believe that this organization, which will be founded in Shusha, will become an important organization on the global stage.".
