On October 22, Prosecutor general Kamran Aliyev met with ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Soli Rustam, the press service of Prosecutor general’s office told APA.

Touching upon traditional friendship and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan the existence of business relations in all fields, the Prosecutor General noted that the relations are developing successfully, and the importance of reciprocal visits of the heads of states, holding meetings in expanding cooperation between both countries.

The General Prosecutor noting that the crimes against peace and humanity were committed against our peaceful civilian population as a result of shelling by the Armenian armed forces of Azerbaijan’s residential settlements from heavy artillery cannons and rocket launchers beginning from September 27, as well as Azerbaijan’s second largest city Ganja was subjected to rocket strikes on October 4, 11 and 17 specially stressed that a total of 63 people out of the civilian population were killed, of which 18 were women, 8 - children, 293 people were wounded, of which 69 were women, 32 – children, the massive amount of damage was caused to 2072 residential houses, 90 multi-storey buildings and 388 civilian infrastructure facilities.
