Monuments built in memory of 17 communists and red army border guards who died for strengthening the Soviet power were completely demolished in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic told APA's local bureau.
The construction of another monument is not expected in the place of the demolished monument.
The office did not receive any instructions in this regard, the empty area was covered with lock stones and the area was completely cleaned.
