Humanitarian aid consisting of 25 containers was sent to Türkiye from Bilajari railway station, APA-Economics reports.
The chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Rovshan Rustamov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiyeto Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagchi attended the ceremony of sending humanitarian aid.
According to information, aid will be delivered to people affected by the strong earthquake in Kahramanmaraş and 10 provinces via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.
The humanitarian aid sent today mainly consists of medical supplies, heaters, and generators and will reach the destination within three days.
Notably, the Azerbaijani public, which showed solidarity with the Turkish people from the first days of the natural disaster, closely participates in large-scale aid campaigns.
Ambassador Cahit Bagchi thanked the state and the people of Azerbaijan for the great support shown during these difficult days.
