President Ilham Aliyev: “Acts of Armenian leadership directed to provoke Azerbaijan to take retaliatory measures”
- 18 December 2020
“Hoping more for the help of Armenian Diaspora in the West, current leadership of Armenia prepared a plan for the forcibly settlement of the occupied territories, initially the Shusha city. This was done openly, demonstratively, and was shown on television,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the meeting of heads of CIS countries, APA reports.
“One of the other acts trying Azerbaijani people’s patience was the decision on relocating the parliament of the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” from Khankendi to Shusha. It can only be called as an insult of the dignity of Azerbaijani people. The so-called inauguration of the head of the criminal regime in Nagorno-Karabakh for the first time since the occupation of the ancient Azerbaijani city of Shusha is this kind. So, the behaviour and steps of Armenian leadership directed to aggravate the situation, provoking Azerbaijani side to take retaliatory measures and to disrupt negotiations process, for let them say later, do you see military clashes occur again, therefore there is a need to extend everything again,” said the head of the state.
