"Making the sacred day closer was at the forefront of all of our works, our policy, our steps. We achieved it with our own power," said President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha, APA reports.
The Head of state noted that army building was conducted rapidly for it namely, Azerbaijan established a modern army, namely for it, the young generation was brought up in the spirit of patriotism and hatred for the enemy.
"People of Azerbaijan have shown their own power instead of meaningless negotiations, which lasted for 30 years, restored justice, restored international law. People of Azerbaijan have proved to the whole world that we are great people and the Azerbaijani people have never thought of reconciling with the occupation," said President Ilham Aliyev.
