"Russia has played an important role in halting the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, APA reports.
President Mr. Aliyev emphasized that as a result of Russia's efforts, the process has moved from the military to the political-diplomatic stage.
The President stressed that Russia has a key role in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia: "Russia plays a key role in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the establishment of normal neighborly relations."
