276 Azerbaijani citizens return from Iran, taken under quarantine

The return to our country of the citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic is on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran is ensured, the operative task force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic told APA.

In this regard, the appeals received at the hotlines of the Embassy of the Azerbaijan Republic in Tehran City and the General Consulate of Azerbaijan in Tebriz City from our citizens being in the Islamic Republic of Iran are being registered.

The return of our citizens is implemented by means of the special corridor functioning at the preliminarily determined times at the border crossing station.

For this purpose, the citizens coming to Astara border crossing station from Iran have been provided with places of temporary stay and necessary conditions, 276 people have passed onto the Azerbaijani territory in accordance with the determined time schedule. The citizens passing the border have been taken to quarantine zones by specially designated buses.

Note that the citizens returning from the Islamic Republic of Iran are placed under a quarantine regime without fail for a period of 14-29 days. All citizens are required to comply with the requirements of the quarantine regime.

For additional inquiries, the citizens are recommended to appeal to the hotlines opened at the Embassy of the Azerbaijan Republic in Tehran City and the General Consulate of Azerbaijan in Tebriz City. After receipt of the inquiries, it has been envisaged to implement the passage of our citizens into Azerbaijan by an air flight or by means of the specially designated border corridor.
