Conscripts have been started to be sent to service places on the basis of determined schedule from May 1, State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of Azerbaijan told APA.
Special quarantine regime have been applied in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to prevent dangers of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and term of April conscription has been extended until May 31 in order to prevent possible risks for health of conscripted youth within framework of emergent measures, conducted in this direction under leadership of head of state.
According to the Order, signed by President Ilham Aliyev, citizens born in 2002 and who have reached 18 years by April 30, as well as born in 1985-2001 and who are 35-years-old, who have not served active military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other armed units established according to the country's legislation, having no right of deferral of active military service or those who have not released from active military service have been conscripted into active military service from till May 31.
Conscripts, who will be sent to active military service in May, 2020, will be informed via SMS on April 22 by the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of Azerbaijan regarding appointment of their service places on the Armed Forces.
