Hande Harmanci: "Azerbaijani government takes all measures regarding rules, recommended by the WHO in fight against coronavirus"

"Azerbaijani government takes all measures regarding rules recommended by the World Health Organization in fight against coronavirus under Task Force," said Representative of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci, APA reports.

She has noted that when the world countries took public measures, the number of infections has been decreased, but when the measures are eased, the number of infections increases: “So, it is very important to follow the rules, respiratory hygiene, to keep distance, to wash hands often. People sit mostly in closed places because of winter months, that is why, it is very important to open the windows and change the air. If it is needed, you can wear twice as much, but change the air in the room.”

H. Harmanci said that all countries, as well as Azerbaijan is doing what is necessary, because they should decrease burden of the healthcare system: "If infection and death cases increase with this speed, neither beds, doctors, not ventilation systems will be enough in all countries of the world. On the other hand, countries must keep economy live. They try to find a relevant variant between two of these, It is an expected thing."
