Heydar Aliyev Foundation: Ogtay Gulaliyev's wife informed about proper support in next stage of treatment

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has released another information regarding Ogtay Gulaliyev, the Fond told APA.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as a non-governmental organization, has been providing various necessary support to citizens in various fields since 2004, especially in the humanitarian field, and activities in this direction continue to this day.

“The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which considers its mission to support anyone who needs assistance, over the past period, has reviewed appeals of more than 10,000 people in the health sector. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has chosen as a crucial aim to help those who appealed for assistance, especially those in difficult situations but not to make political dividends, to turn it into a source of propaganda.

Currently, Heydar Aliyev Foundation is providing necessary assistance for the treatment of human rights activist Oktay Gulaliyev who is in a coma due to traumatic brain injury.

The relevant assistance is provided by the Foundation since November 4 based on the instruction of the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

Thus, Turkish experts were involved in to support the treatment of Oktay Gulaliyev, then taking into account the request of the family members regarding to continue the treatment of Oktay Gulaliyev in Turkey, according to President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva’s order, he was transported to Istanbul by Special ambulance plane and was placed in Eurasia clinic there.

After a while, his family applied to the Foundation to transport Oktay Gulaiyev to American Hospital. After transporting him to American Hospital, on November 19, he underwent brain surgery. Currently, the treatment of Oktay Aliyev is being continued at American Hospital with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation."

Note that in accordance with the internal rules of Heydar Aliyev Foundation the treatment institution submits a report to the Foundation every 10 days regarding the condition of the patient. According to these reports, in accordance with the dynamics of the treatment, the decision is made on the next assistance for the patient by the Foundation.

According to the report of the next 10 days, sent by American Hospital on December 9, there is an infection in the lungs and blood of Oktay Gulaliyev, who is in a coma and appropriate treatment is being applied. Taking into account the current state of the patient and opinion of the doctors Heydar Aliyev Foundation has informed the wife of Oktay Gulaliyev Firuza Gulaliyeva on providing relevant support in the next phase of the treatment. It was stated that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation tries to assist the treatment of Oktay Gulaliyev, and tries to provide moral support to his family in these difficult days.

Taking into account the above mentioned, Heydar Aliyev Foundation once more again declares its humanistic intention of always supporting every citizen, and expresses that it is against of political speculation by individuals on the basis of different interests in the current state of the patient,” says the Fund.
