TABIB: By August bringing 16 mln. doses of vaccine against COVID to Azerbaijan expected

“1 mln. 447 thousand 720 doses of vaccine against coronavirus have been brought to Azerbaijan so far,” Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of TABİB told APA.

She noted that bringing 1 mln. 247 thousand vaccines to the country in April is expected: “By August 16 mln. 150 thousand doses of vaccine are expected to be brought. It means that we can provide people over 18 years old with the vaccine.”

According to her, bringing vaccines does not depend on Azerbaijan: “Vaccines are brought normally. Today we have brought 500 thousand doses of vaccine from China. Our country has conducted negotiations in all fields. Pfizer, AstraZeneca vaccines from GAVI, and Sputnik V vaccine will be brought from Russia.”
