Temporary rules of organization of flights and passenger transportation by air transport changed

Temporary rules of organization of flights and passenger transportations by air transport in the Azerbaijan Republic during coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have been changed, according to the decision signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, APA reports.

According to the change, all air companies, implementing flights to the Azerbaijan Republic:

- accept passengers who have passed the PCR test for COVID-19 with negative results within 48 hours before the flight;

- ensure checking of passengers' certificates (including transit and transfer passengers) during flight registration;

- ensure the distribution of the "Declaration of Self-Isolation" (hereinafter - the Declaration) to all passengers on the aircraft and inform them about the necessity of completion and submission of the Declaration when passing passport control upon arrival in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan whose certificate does not meet the requirements of these Rules when crossing the border shall be quarantined for two weeks, while foreigners and stateless persons shall not be allowed to enter the country and returned at the expense of the carrier with the same route. In order to check the certificate electronically, the persons with electronic confirmation attributes (QR-code, identification number, etc.) in the certificate will be provided with quick passage through the relevant checkpoints.
