The process of submission of documents necessary for the registration of a candidate in the municipal elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for December 23 will end today, APA reports.

The report says that the submission to district electoral commission of the election documents necessary for the registration of candidate will end at 18:00 Baku time on November 22.

Note that the municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be held on December 23. Some 15,156 members will be elected to 1,606 municipalities countrywide.

he municipal elections will cover a total of 118 electoral districts except for 7 electoral districts being under occupation.

Recall that the last municipal elections in Azerbaijan were held on December 23, 2014.
