Number of Ganja population increases by 0.7% in 2007

The number of Ganja population increased by 0.7% this year, chief of Ganja Statistic Office Ismayil Jafarov told the APA’s Western bureau. He said that the city population increased by 2,198 people and now reached to 308,461. According to information on June 1, 147,753 people of population are men, 160,708 people women. The migration balance in Ganja was +30 in January-May. 304 people came to the city and 274 people left Ganja within this period. 1,566 children were born in Ganja in January-May and this number increased by 45 children in comparison with the proper period of the last year. 821 people died this year. 771 marriage was registered, and 160 divorce factors were observed. /APA/
