Measures are underway in the area of ensuring reliable protection of the state border by the State Border Service (SBS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the press service of SBS told APA.
At about 00:13 a.m. on October 2, 2019, near Amirzeitli village of Beylagan district, on the territory of the border guard outpost service of the Goradiz border group of the border troops of the border service, the border guard noticed a violation of the state border by three unknown persons.
The border detachment gave the command "Stop" and began the pursuit of violators, warning shots were fired into the air. But the violators did not obey and shot at the border guards. One intruder, having removed his bag, started to run towards the IIR, the other two intruders tried to run in the opposite direction.
Based on the "Law on the State Border" of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the border guard used weapons, as a result of which all three violators died from the received bullet wounds on the spot.
