“Azerbaijan still remains as one of the main gas suppliers of Georgia,” Natela Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, told reporters, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

She stated that Georgia's annual natural gas demand is 2,6 billion cubic meters and 95 % of this falls on share of Azerbaijan: “Our main gas supplier is still Azerbaijan. According to the preliminary calculations, our market demand will be 2,6 bln. cubic meters this year, and 95% of it will be provided by Azerbaijan. The volume of gas imported from Russia has constituted 160 mln. cubic meters which has been only 5% of total import. I do not think that this volume will increase the next year.”
