"If we remain silent to the oppression in Palestine, Syria, Libya, Turkestan, Karabakh today, we know that these oppressors may one day be on our doorstep," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Wednesday at a ceremony to mark the May 19 Youth and Sports Day in the capital Ankara, APA's local bureau reports.

Erdogan noted that Turkey will raise its voice against violence anywhere in the world.

"Atrocities in Palestine reached the peak, again, and the blood of the innocent continues to flow. Regarding the events in Palestine, they say, what is Erdogan talking about? What should I do? If we have to sacrifice something in order to protest against oppression and become the owner of the oppressed, we will never be afraid of it. If we do not protest against what is happening in Turkestan, Karabakh and Jerusalem today, we will face greater disasters tomorrow. Therefore, we will continue to fight against the terrorist organizations targeting our country, as well as against those who shed blood in our region," said Erdogan.
