“The Economic and Investment Plan presented by us for Eastern Partnership countries is a positive signal for the region from the EU, “said EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, APA reports.
The Commissioner said that this was his first visit to Azerbaijan and the visit was quite rich and intensive: “I believe that this visit will give a boost to accelerate our cooperation with Azerbaijan, and we have reached a new beginning with this visit.”
He noted that the purpose of his visit to the region was to present this plan:“This plan is to help the entire region recover from the pandemic and survive stronger from the COVID-19 crisis. This plan will be implemented to strengthen the partnership countries economically and socially. Because we see the impact of the pandemic on the region, the region is facing socio-economic difficulties. With the Economic and Investment Plan, we will support the region.”
