The visit of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a visit that took place within the framework of bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavushoglu, APA reports.
“Today, we agreed with Mevlut Cavusoglu that everyone should use their opportunity to create conditions for the reconciliation of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the normalization of relations between them, for Azerbaijanis and Armenians to live together in this land as good neighbors. In this case, we are sure that all issues, as well as political issues, will be resolved more easily. I repeatedly note that an additional area of our cooperation is the restoration of transport, communication, and economic ties in the region. We positively reacted to the proposal of Turkish President Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the “3+3” cooperation platform for the development of the region. We have today talked also about this. I think that we have good plans here for the initial periods. I repeat that we are pleased with the fruitful cooperation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict” said the Russian FM.
