PACE rapporteur will prepare a report on the humanitarian consequences of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict

Rapporteur of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Paul Gavan (Ireland) will pay a visit to Armenia on May 19, APA reports citing PACE official website.

It was noted that during the 4-day visit P. Havan will collect information to report on the humanitarian consequences of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. During the visit, he will hold meetings with the Speaker of the Parliament, representatives of various ministries of Armenia dealing with the humanitarian consequences of the conflict.

It was also noted that P. Havan is scheduled to meet with family members of Armenian prisoners of war and missing persons, refugees, religious leaders and the Ombudsman of Armenia, representatives of civil society.

It is reported that P. Havan will pay a visit to Azerbaijan in the summer and collect the necessary information, and will complete work on the report in the fall.
