The next meeting of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) was held today, APA's local bureau reports.

The meeting discussed a draft law on extending the mandate of Turkish servicemen at the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center in Azerbaijan for another year.

After the second reading of the bill, 7 deputies spoke on the topic.

Representatives of the Justice and Development Party (AKP Party), the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the Republican People's Party (CHP), the Great Union Party (BBP) reported in favor of the bill.

Speaking about the first anniversary of the victory of the victorious army of Azerbaijan, the speakers said that a year ago the government, the people and the army played an important role in this victory.

A representative of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) opposed the document.

After discussions, a vote was held and the bill was adopted.

It should be noted that on November 17, 2020, the Turkish Grand National Assembly gave the Turkish Armed Forces a one-year mandate to send troops to Azerbaijan.
The Russian-Turkish Joint Monitoring Center for Ceasefire Control is located in Agdam.
