We strongly condemn Armenia’s shelling the second largest city of Azerbaijan, Ganja with rocket strikes by violating the humanitarian ceasefire, the statement of Turkish MFA reads, APA’s bureau in Turkey reports.

It has been noted that the rocket strikes on Ganja are a new example of the Armenian government's provocations aimed at pushing the conflict beyond the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The statement also reads that this attack at the same time shows that Armenia does not refrain to violate international law and does not observe a ceasefire to continue its illegal occupation: “These aggressive acts of Armenia are not surprising, they clearly reflect its usual aggressive mindset. The international community must now say stop denying this right. We wish God’s mercy upon our Azerbaijani brothers who were martyred as a result of the attack, and speedy recovery to the injured, we extend our condolences to Azerbaijan. As always, Turkey stands with Azerbaijan.”
