"More than AZN 30 bln. invested in the transport sector over the recent 15 years," said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rahman Hummatov in his interview with APA-Economics while he was asked to inform on purposes for establishment of new agencies in the field of transportation.

"Drastic reforms are conducted in the field of transport under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, like other sectors of the country and transport has been determined as one of the priority sectors of the country. More than AZN 30 bln has been invested in the transport sector over the last 15 years. Annual dynamics of the investments in the sector have also been positive. Thus, investments, which made up AZN 515 mln. in 2005, made up more than AZN 2 bln. in 2020. Several regional and international projects have been implemented in the country. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, North-South Corridor, Baku International Sea Trade Port in Alat Settlement can certainly be noted among them," noted Deputy Minister.
