On October 11, 2019, the criminal regime in Armenia and Nagorno Garabagh held a “forum” entitled "Partnership for Justice and Peace- Friends of Artsax" in the occupied Khankendi city of Azerbaijan. “Final “declaration” of “Forum” held in Khankendi contains absurd ideas”, according to the statement of the chairman of Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev, APA reports.
According to the statement, the “Declaration” declares the establishment of an international network called “ProArtsakh” based on the principles of freedom, democracy and equality as outlined in international human rights documents.
"First of all, I would like to note that the purpose of creating such a network is Armenia's attempt to cover up its bloody crimes under the umbrella of international law.
It is surprising, when Armenia expelled hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis from their homeland, committing genocide in Khojaly, Karabakh, killing more than 20,000 Azerbaijanis, torturing almost 4,000 captives and hostages, ignoring the right of refugees and displaced persons to return their homes didn't Armenia remember the principle of human rights? Another absurd issue in the declaration is the statement that "international recognition of Artsakh is the key to stability and prosperity in the region," which is nothing but self-deception.
I, as the head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region, declare that stability and prosperity in the region are impossible unless the Azerbaijanis from Nagorno-Karabakh and the occupied surroundings return to their homes. If Armenia is seeking for real justice and peace, then it can be found not by holding a so-called forum on “Cooperation for Justice and Peace” but by withdrawing its occupying forces from the territory of our country”, the statement reads.
