Fire in a mountainous area in Gabala localized

Fire in a mountainous area with the complex relief in the direction of Solguja and Abrikh villages of the Gabala region has been extinguished thanks to necessary and urgent measures carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the MES told APA.

According to the initial calculations, hay, shrub and dry trees burned in the area of 100 hectares. Thanks to the measures taken, the fire was prevented from spreading to dense forests.

As a result of the necessary and urgent measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire in the mountainous area with complex relief in the direction of Solguja and Abrikh villages of the Gabala region was localized. Currently, cooling measures are being carried out in the area, APA reports.

Note that State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Civil defence troops, the relevant forces of the North-West Regional Center and three helicopters of the Aviation Detachment, as well as employees of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and a group of local residents, were involved in the firefighting measures.
