“Any person can test positive for coronavirus before or after getting a vaccination,” Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of TABİB told APA.
She noted that but vaccination against COVID-19 does not affect the result of PCR test to get positive:
“As a result of vaccination, antibodies are formed in the blood. And PCR tests simply determine the direct genetic material of the virus in a smear. Antibodies cannot affect the genome testing to be positive.”
