15 sq. meters of a room, consisting of wooden constructions, has caught fire in mansard of a 4-storey mansard-style dormitory building with a total area of 500 sq. meters, settled by IDPs in Sumgayit city, APA reports citing the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
During the investigation of the fireplace, the burnt body of Ahmadov Mazahir Nushiravan, born in 1972, was found by firefighters and handed over to the relevant authorities.
The spread of the fire was prevented as a result of emergency measures taken by the fire protection units of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.
The rest of the building was protected from fire. The fire was extinguished.
Investigations are being conducted by relevant organizations regarding the incident.

A fire has brought out in "Shafa" sanatorium, settled by IDPs, in Sumgayit, APA's local bureau reports.
IDPs of the building have been evacuated to the safe territory during the fire.
As a result of the fire, resident Ahmadova Mazahir Nushiravan (1972), who got burn injuries, died.
The body of the deceased has been handed over relevantly for examination.
