United States President Joe Biden argued on Friday that the state of the country's economy is "strong," praising the recently published jobs data which put the national unemployment rate at 3.4%, the lowest since 1969, APA reports citing Teletrader.

In a brief press conference following the nonfarm payrolls report for January, Biden insisted that US inflation will continue to decline while wages will continue rising. Biden refused to take responsibility for the current inflation reading, stressing that it was there when he arrived at the White House two years ago.

The newest inflation data for January comes out on February 14.
