United States President Joe Biden yet again stressed that he doesn't think US-China relations were harmed by the surveillance balloon incident, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Biden told PBS NewsHour in an interview that he "made it real clear" to Chinese President Xi Jinping that Washington is not looking for conflict with Beijing. "That's been the case so far," he said.
His comments mark the second time this week that he attempted to minimize the impact of the US shooting down the object, despite the move being condemned by Beijing as a "use of force" against what said was a "civilian airship."
