South Korea is considering the tightening of social distancing measures amid rising coronavirus infection numbers, President Moon Jae-in hinted, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"It is a critical moment to consider raising the social distancing level to Phase 3 if we cannot stem the outbreak. The authorities should make a decision if it is unavoidable," Moon said.
The Phase 3 of restriction measures in South Korea would see schools close down and all but essential workers would work from home. The country reported a record of 1,030 daily infections on Sunday.
