Baku. Ramiz MIkayiloglu – APA. Azerbaijan will apply new and higher customs duty for imported cement, gypsum, brick from tomorrow.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the new duties will enter into force from tomorrow and be valid for two years. According to amendment, the customs duty was set at $0.07 for 1 kg of Portland cement, aluminous cement, slag cement, superphosphate cement and analogical hydraulic cements, coloured or uncoloured cement, finished or clinker cement, $0.07 for 1 kg of gypsum, anhydrous plaster, and $0.04 for 1 kg of bricks, boards and ceramics products made of siliceous rock meal.
Previously, Azerbaijan applied for these goods a fixed import duty of 15% of their value.
