Azerbaijan and Iran discussed about how to continue cooperation within  framework of electricity projects

The meeting of Joint Technical Commission of Iran and Azerbaijan on electricity has started, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

The meeting of Joint Technical Commission of Iran and Azerbaijan on the operation of “Khudaferin” and “Maiden Tower” reservoirs and “Ordubad”, “Marazad” hydroelectric power stations, and cooperation in this field has started on Monday, in Nakhchivan.

According to the information of the consulate of Iran in Nakhchivan, the parties have exchanged thoughts about how to continue the cooperation within the framework of these projects.

The meetings of joint technicial commission will continue for 3 days.

The agreement between Azerbaijan and Iran on the construction and operation of Khudaferin and Maiden Tower dams and power plants on the Araz River has been signed on Februrary 12, 2017 in Tehran, and ratified by the parliaments of the two countries.
