Azerbaijan to export more than 5 bln. cubic meters of gas to Europe this year

Within the framework of Southern Gas Corridor, more than 5 bln. cubic meters of gas will be exported to Europe this year, said Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov in his speech at the VII meeting of the Ministers held in the form of a video conference within the framework of the Consultative Council, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, Consultative Council an exemplary format of international cooperation achieved its purpose. Currently, Southern Gas Corridor connects Europe with the Caspian sea and it happens by means of world-scale infrastructure, it enhances energy security, at the same time, contributes to achieving our goals on climate, economic and commercial. For the first time, Azerbaijani gas entered the European market after covering a distance of 3,500 kilometers.
