Minister: "Russian companies invested about $ 4 bln. in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector"

As of April 1 of this year, the volume of investments of the Russian companies in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector made up about $ 4 bln., said Minister of Energy of the Azerbaijan Republic Parviz Shahbazov during the international conference entitled as “Global energy and international political risks” jointly held in online format by the International Relations Analysis Center and Valdai International Discussion Club, "APA-Economics" reports.

The minister noted that the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline and Hajigabul-Shirvanovka-Mozdok gas pipeline and the main energy hubs between Azerbaijan and Russia, and the last year, 800 thousand tons of the Azerbaijani oil were transported via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline passing through territory of Russia.
