Azerbaijan gets decline in gasoline and diesel production

Azerbaijan produced oil products worth AZN 2,772,700,000 in 2016, down 9.1% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, gasoline production made up 1,153,200 tonnes, down 5.8% compared to a year ago. Finished products stood at 20,900 tonnes.

Diesel production fell 17.4% to 2,315,200 tonnes (finished product – 69,100 tonnes), kerosene production declined 8.9% to 627,300 tonnes (finished product – 16,100 tonnes), oil bitumen production rose 4.3% to 179,200 tonnes (finished product – 12,000 tonnes), and lubricating oil production descended 61.7% to 9,700 tonnes (finished product – 5,200).

In the reporting period, 197,400 tonnes of petrol for petro-chemical industry were produced, down 4.1% by contrast to a year earlier. Finished product made 1,300 tonnes.

Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 485,800 tonnes of furnace oil, up 48.1% from 2015. As of January 1, 2017, the finished product stood at 9,600 tonnes.

Petroleum coke production slid 7.4% to 204,900 tonnes (finished products – 33,600 tonnes).
