ATAA: Armenian company appointed representation of Egyptian airline in Georgia, we call on our citizens to be attentive

Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies Association (ATAA) has appealed to citizens and tourism companies, the Association told APA.

The authorities of Georgia’s “Interco Travel” company having the right to sell air tickets to Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh City have been transferred to Armenia’s “Anriva Tour” company from January 22.

Thus the commercial representation of the Egyptian airline in Georgia has been changed, and the Armenian company has been appointed the representative of the “Air Cairo” airline in Georgia.

Anriva Tour has already addressed an appeal to tourism companies in this regard. In this appeal Anriva Tour Company noted there is not a basis for concern and flights will be carried out as they were before, and called on tourism companies, working with Interco Travel, for cooperation.

Association of Tourism Agencies of Azerbaijan addresses to citizens and tourism companies on the situation and considers the use of Anriva Tour Company’s services and cooperate with the Company is not relevant, by taking into consideration private information given while use of the services of the company is gathered headquarter of the Company in Yerevan, there is high risk of provocative cases, as well as they announce their landing intentions at Armenian airports if it is necessary. That is why the Association recommends using other alternative ways of flying to Egypt.

Taking into account the risk that Anvira Tour can use different means to gain access to the Azerbaijani tourism market too, Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies Association has called on tourism companies to be attentive.
