Culture and Fine Arts Fund named after Nazim Hikmet established in Moscow

The Culture and Fine Arts Fund named after the great Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet has been established in Moscow, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

This Fund has been established in order to study the poet’s legacy, to introduce it to new generations, as well as to contribute to the Russian-Turkish cultural relations and to play the role of bridge of friendship between the two countries.

The newly established Fund intends to cooperate with Russia’s culture and fine arts world, as well as education institutions.

One of the goals of the Fund is to establish Nazim Hikmet Museum in Moscow.

Note that Nazim Hikmet who died in 1963 in Moscow was buried in "Novodevichye" cemetery. The day of commemoration of Nazim Hikmet is held on June 3 every year by the Turkish Diaspora in Russia.
