Meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers to be held in Moscow

On April 2, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Moscow, said the official representative of Russian MFA Maria Zakharova at the briefing, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

According to her, the agenda of the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers includes the main directions of the cooperation within the framework of CIS: “The ministers will exchange views on international issues. They will discuss prospects for deepening multifaceted cooperation within the CIS, including law enforcement and humanitarian cooperation. In connection with starting of the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War the foreign ministers will consider a draft appeal of the CIS leaders to the peoples of the Commonwealth and the world community. The documents to be adopted at the final of the meeting will be sent for approval to the CIS Council of Heads of Government to be held in Minsk on May 28 this year, at the same time to the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State to be held on October 15.”
