Situation regarding the armed forces should be resolved, said Prime Minister Nicole Pashinyan during his speech at a meeting held in Republic Square, Yerevan, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
He recalled that he has signed a decision regarding dismissing of Chief of General Staff Onik Gasparyan from his post.
N.Pashinyan noted that there have been phone conversations with the Armenian president regarding the issue. The Prime Minister added that the President of the Country should approve the decision regarding the dismissing of O. Gasparyan.
N, Pashinyan noted that Onik Gasparyan that he appointed as Chief of General Staff and trusted during the war, have made a mistake: “There is no need to constantly shake the people. I will not allow the army to go against the people".
